With more than 20 years of experience, Tyese Doby is a performance-driven, accomplished expert in the supply chain and risk management. She has a demonstrated history of leadership through process improvements and by bringing forth and implementing new and innovative solutions to address supply chain management (SCM) challenges and successfully compete in the global marketplace.

Before launching BASICS, in 2020, Ms. Doby held various positions at multiple OEMs and supplier organizations within the automotive industry. In these roles, she gained valuable insight into multiple tiers of the supply chain, having worked cross-functionally at all levels within organizations while contributing to a full range of SCM related initiatives that support organizational business strategies and objectives. She has worked with and trained thousands of suppliers globally to understand industry standards for SCM, understanding customer requirements, and assessing and mitigating risk.

From 2009 thru 2018, Ms. Doby was the Chair of the AIAG/Odette Global MMOG/LE Committee, comprised of global industry experts responsible for the continual evaluation and development of the Materials Management Operations Guideline/ Logistics Evaluation (MMOG/LE).  MMOG/LE, published by AIAG and Odette, is a comprehensive self-assessment used by organizations throughout all tiers of the supply chain within the automotive industry to evaluate production and parts, service and warehousing processes. The assessment also establishes a common definition of supply chain management processes to help organizations determine the robustness of existing internal and external processes, streamline the flow of information and products, benchmark supply chain operations, facilitate corrective actions, identify opportunities for continuous improvements, and increase customer satisfaction.

As a member of the AIAG Supply Chain Steering Committee, she helped to implement supply chain initiatives within the automotive industry based As a member of the AIAG Supply Chain Steering Committee, she helped to implement supply chain initiatives within the automotive industry based on best practices and lessons learned and supporting the development of guidelines, training, and educational opportunities to understand and effectively reduce the inefficiencies and improve automotive supply chain management processes and procedures.

During her time with AIAG, Ms. Doby also served as a member of the AIAG Third Party Information Security Requirements (TPISR) Committee, responsibilities included supporting the industry efforts to protect data throughout the supply chain, such as the development of the AIAG Cybersecurity 3rd Party Information Security document, which contains a common set of minimal security guidelines, General Computing Controls, that apply to all 3rd parties who create, collect, store, transmit, manage, process and OEM's data and information

With a bachelor’s degree in IT, combined with her experience in project management, business analysis, SQL, and VBA programming, Ms. Doby has supported the development of a wide range of solutions, including databases, dashboards, analytical software, and SharePoint solutions to improve workload efficiency and data analytics. She has also lead projects for upgrading and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
